Consistently named within the top 5 martial arts practiced worldwide, Taekwon-Do is a Korean martial art that was formulated in the 1940’s and officially named on April 11, 1955.
Founded by General Choi Hong Hi, Taekwon-Do was specifically designed for the purpose of unarmed self-defense before the term “mixed martial arts” was coined, General Choi combined elements of Karate, Judo, Boxing, and Military Tactics, and coupled them with an unparalleled system of kicking.
Our curriculum contains ALL the physical components of a well-rounded, effective martial art. These include fundamentals, patterns, sparring, board breaking and self-defense!
Taekwon-Do is a proven way to increase concentration, focus, and willpower. In addition, it’s a fantastic way to relieve stress!
Our students also learn to live our moral code which are anchored in our tenets of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit!
Nick is a 7th Degree Black Belt and Certified International Instructor (ITF). He is the NJ State Director for the USITF and a member of the USITF Black Belt Promotional Committee. Nick is a highly accomplished tournament competitor, and he has also trained several World Champions and medalists. Nick also owns Master Search Solutions, a NJ based recruiting firm.
“Mr. V” is currently preparing to grade for his 7th Degree Black Belt (Master Instructor). He is the former owner of Meadowlands Academy of Martial Arts. Mr. V is a highly accomplished International Competitor and former U.S. Nationals Sparring Champion. He is a municipal Police Chief and Defensive Tactics Instructor.
